Hi there...Unfortunately, most monkeys rarely can make good pets once they reach sexual maturity (even altered). Additionally, most cannot be legally kept as pets because of governing laws. Those who are kept as pets have to hold a licence and go through annual inspections and show proof the animal has been seen by an exotic vet as well as meet exotic animal housing requirements.
More on the care of pet monkeys: http://exoticpets.about.com/cs/primates/a/primatesaspets.htm
As a general rule to consider:
1- Young animals may seem tame but may become very aggressive and unpredictable as they get older especially after reaching sexual maturity. Spay/neuter does will not discourage this behaviour.
2- Captivity is not natural and is a constant stress to a wild animal.
3- Wild animals carry many diseases that can be very harmful to people.
4- Wild animals need to be examined by a veterinarian that has special knowledge and training in wildlife medicine.
5- Wild animals need care by individuals knowledgeable about their specific needs (nutritional, behavioural, social, and environmental).
6- Primates are considered social animals and do not well being kept as an only animal.
7- Wild animals can be dangerous to other pet animals in the home.
8- You can't have a social lifestyle or travel away from home because they demand your attention full time.

Do not be daft!!! capuchin moneys are wild animals and you do not keep wild animals in cages, homes or anywahere else for that matter. You let them be as they are in nature. You live in UK? Do yourself a big favour and visit MONKEY WORLD in DORSET. See the animals, ask questions and find out for yourself that you DO NOT keep wild animals as pets!!! You should also go onto the WWF website and read about our wonderful wildlife. maybe you will have a change of heart. I really do hope so!!

You need to have a licence to keep an animal like that, and the only people who get licences are people with zoo's, wildlife parks etc. Why not adopt one instead from the local zoo. You pay a sponsorship to the zoo and in return you can visit the monkey whenver you want to. It is cruel to keep a monkey in a domestic house. They need specialist care. Leave it to the pro's.

Okay you need special permission from the home office to keep wild animals (my friend runs a sanctuary and has had monkeys before, I asked a previous question about Fennec foxes).
You can order from the internet but it is by no means cheap, as you will have to get the animal flown in from abroad (think of handling, safety, quarantine etc).

You shouldn't keep capuchins as pets - they need to be with their own kind in a big enclosure.
Why not sponsor one at a local wildlife centre and go visit regularly instead?
