Culture and religion
Despite the wide variety of cultures in West Africa, from Nigeria through to Senegal, there are apparent similarities in dress, cuisine, musical genres and religions. Islam is the predominant religion of the West African interior and the far west coast of the continent; Christianity is the predominant religion in coastal regions of Nigeria, Ghana, and Cote d'Ivoire; and elements of indigenous religions (see Voodoo) are practised throughout

You need to be more specific - West African encompasses a lot of territory In Nigeria alone, for instance, there is coast line, swamps in the south, desert area in the north, plateau (great for growing things like apples and roses that need a chillier temperature) rain forest in the Benin area - and that's just one country!
Same thing with cultures - within Nigeria there are something like 450 distinctlanguages (not dialects, specific, individual languages) - which means tribes, which means cultural variations. Nigeria is a collection of different peoples and customs and traditions - there is no such thing culturally as "a Nigerian" - they are Bini or Ibo or Yoruba or Tiv or Hausa or whatever...
this probably isn't helpful to you, but you've asked a question that is too broad to answer meaningfully

Check out a map of Africa & select countries on its west. Then Google this country, or look it up in an encyclopaedia either on-line or "off the shelf".
Country entries in Brittanica give outlines of landscapes & cultures.
