Yes it is.You can't expect anything from them but their friendship. If you get them something, that's good. I really believe it's better to give, then to recieve.

Yeah, bad idea! Drop hints as needed, but making a list and passing it out is just tacky. Those that know you well should know what you want and like. Happy Holidays!

If you're asking all your friends to get you something for X-mas, I hope you get nothing. Try giving all your friends the thing you're asking for and ask for nothing in return. Then you'll deserve a gift.

It is a bit cheeky !! But as long as you make sure they know you will be buying them a present then it should be okay. At least you won't get stuck with something that you didn't want...

a much more kind idea is to ask your friends what THEY would like. Seems like the season is for GIVING not getting.

I think it would work really well if you asked your friends to give you their lists as well. :)

depends, i wouldnt get you anything if someone did that to me.
but i have friends who i will ask what they want and they will suggest things to me and i will maybe get what they ask for.
but if someone gave me a wish list i would think it was darn right rude to be quite honest.
friend of mine does it to her family, and wouldnt dare give me one, else she wouldnt get anything! good lcuk!

Hints, no.

Specific demands, yes.

If you are too specific they would be right to say, "Look here's the money, go get it yourself."
