My 7 year old son needs a costume from one of the characters or anything connected to the film. Help!!!!

Why not send him as the lonely goat herd?
As lederhosen would be a bit pricey not to mention tricky to get for a seven year old, how about brown shorts, brown braces, knee socks and a robin hood style hat?
He could have lots and lots of fun yodelling all over the place!
Altogether now "High on a hill was a lonely goat-herd lad-ee oh de lad-ee oh de la-deee oh!"

It isn't likely you will get costume from the Sound of Music itself. I amen the movie starring Julie Andrews. But if you have local theater group most likely they have done the musical, they might have one you could reint for an after noon.
If your son needs a costume for like a play you could very easily put on togetherfrom a thrift store. Just go to th elibrary and look at some book son Germany in the 1930s and early 40s.

get green and white curtains and cut them into dungashort type things and wear a white shirt underneath couple with a curtain hat. Thats play stuff. For in the house brown shorts with braces over a white shirt. Or blue shorts white shirt and blue scarf for the ball.

Maria made costumes out of curtains.........of failing that, he could take a quitar with him and just have the class do a bit of a "jam" sesion with the songs from the film!

Why not Friedrich von Trapp(Nicholas Hammond) coz he had brown hair, and had to undergo several painful hair bleaching treatments before and during filming to make his hair blond. I'm not telling him you to undergo the same treatment for your son but just a suggestion. He can use a wig.

i would say dress him as a nun,buts thats ridiculous,so maybe someone from the army(this would represet the father of the kids from the film)im not sure what he was with though navy,marines or just the normal army.
