Is there a way of telling if a black molly is pregnant?

It is not really like other livebearers that have a gravid spot.

I have a few black mollies that are fat, but i am not sure if they are actually pregnant.

If it's a mixed tank, then it's a safe bet they are pregnant! I think it takes 30 days. We've just had some born but out of 18, we've got one left. The parents do eat them.

Sounds like they are pregnent, if you dont want to lose too many there is some good breeding traps you can buy, your local pet shop should have these, other than that make sure you have plenty of dense foliage for the babies to hide in.

Pregnant if you have males and females. Mollies will benefit from adding salt to your aquarium as well.

If there is also a male in the tank, odds are they're pregnant.
