Boy racers and their loud exhausts?

Why don't the cops stop these idiots anymore? they go tearing around in noisy cars along my road and one was even killed the other day.

years ago my friend had a noisy exhaust on his motorcycle and he got constant hassle off the cops, why don't these crappy cars & drivers seem to ever told to stop being so loud??

There is a shrine of flowers been put up to that lad who died the other day, he was 21 years old.

if he had been stabbed or shot to death the politicians and the police would have had to do something.

but because he was in a car and he crashed killing himself, it doesn't seem to matter?

i live in a small village outside Glasgow 2 boy racers have had their cars taken from them by police that seems to have quietened the rest of them unless they have moved to another area to annoy people

I reckon we should all lobby parliament to get NOISE POLLUTION included in the MOT emissions test.

I try not to get wound up about the misguided imbeciles chugging around in their badly modified citroen saxos, thinking they're extras from "Tokyo Drift" or something. But when the little tw@ts roar up and down my street at 3AM, I can't help but want to firebomb the buggers.

Also, we could get the insurance companies involved. There's always the clause: "has the vehicle been modified?"
If the answer comes back "Yes, I've glued tw@tty bits of fibreglass all over my car and put flourescent tubes underneath so that it looks as though its floating on a cusion of light." They should send someone round to dispatch the vermin and sterilise its parents.

That's my opinion, which I'm entitled to because, unfortunately, this is a free country where you can express yourself through the noise of your ill-fitting exhaust pipe if you so choose.

young boys will grow up realising that loud exhausts are tacky, its the note of the exhaust they want to change. some cant afford £500 for a full system, so resort to off the shelf backboxes. unless your gonna give them a full system, then let them be. they could be doing a lot worse. like hanging around outside your house drinking and stabbing people.
think about it!
and to the clown above. lowered cars DO handle better than your sky high standard mince. all cars should come standard lowered at least 60mm.

Most of these cars on the streets are just noise. The kids perceive that they have this race car, but in reality it is a death trap. They are low to the ground with ultra bad suspension. They think that their car can handle like the ones that are on Fast and the Furious. As we all know, movies can make them do anything.The cops do seem to ignore this. One day it will be their teen acting like a maniac.

Unfortunately there are way too many of them around to be caught, I am sure the police keep an eye, but they can't stop every chav. The real question should be, by modding their cars to look like 2 cent lucky packet purchases revving their ford fiesta motors - do they think they look cool!? I find them hysterical. I pity them in a huge way.

noisy exhausts are illegal breaching the decibel limit so its up to the copper to give these guys a ticket and an order to get in changed in 7 days
