There are also pogo sticks that have a ball on the bottom of them with a standing platform around the top of it too. I got my son one when he was 4 and he loved it. It was kind of hard for him to get it to bounce (the stick ones were next to impossible for him to use) because he was so small (22 lbs at age 4)but he loved it. You can get one at almost any toy store as well as over the Internet typing the words pogo stick.

YES!! I used to live a 5 min walk to my Primary School and one Christmas I got a pogo-stick. From then on for about a year I would pogo to and from school. All the kids wanted a go and I would never let them. Ha! My friend gave it a shot a while ago and bent it....I guess they have an age limit!

This is a long stick that comes right above your waist. It looks like the Capital Letter I with the connecting line extending past the bottom part of the letter I. It has handles at the top to hold on to. It has two foot steps or foot rests I guess. There is a spring in the middle. You are to attempt to keep your body on this stick and hop up and down while remaining on the toy. It can be very difficult depending on the model that you select. Some people wear protection for their head, elbows, and knees. I would look in a toy store to find this item. It used to be very popular in the US but I have not seen them in a while.

A pogo stick is usually a children's toy and bounces up and down. It's a pole with a t-bar handle at one end. It has spring so to make it bounce along with your weight. It looks quite easy but balancing while hopping is uite hard yet fun. Haven't seen those sticks for a very long time but maybe try toy stores or ebay.
Here's some links of photos you might wanna see for ideas.

A pogo stick is a metal stick with a pedal at either side of it and a spring at the base that when pressed down will let you bounce.
As for where to find one I recommend a catalog, check the index for toys and look for something like I've descibed and check the information about it as well.

A pogo stick is a device, usually considered a children's toy, used for hopping up and down. You climb onto the pedals that are spring loaded and you hop.
Google pogo stick in images to see that it looks like.

It is a stick that you pogo on! You should be able to ask at any toy or sporting goods store. Try to get a height measurement of your child, so you can get an appropriate one that she can use with ease. I remember many happy hours of pogoing in my (much) younger days!

Yes my eldest son also asked for a pogo stick when he was young and I went to a well-known toy store here in Australia called Uncle Pete's toys and also they have them at Toys r us. It's a simple thing which has foot holds and a spring base and handle bars and they bounce. It's good for balance and lots of fun to use. Here's a link to see a picture and explanation also. Just ring around all your local toy stores and they'll put you on the right track.

Its basically just a stick with handles that you hold on to and can bounce around on it. Amazon.co.uk have a black and silver one for £11.99 if you live in the UK. There are various sites dedicated to the sale of pogo sticks if you live in America. Hope this helps.
