ok, lets say that it was possible to know everything (like the meaning of life and why we are here). If someone offered you the knowledge, would you except it? I don't think I would want to know everything... it would leave no wonder, no curiosity, life would be dull and boring.

Now that I think about it. If someone knew EVERYTHING, a lot of people would be out of jobs and society would destory it'self.

I agree with you in theory.
I would like to know the things that I ONLY need to know and reveal to myself.
But I don't think I want to know every single things in life cuz surely it will make you feel completely unchallenged. I just love challenge.
So, I just say that I only need to know things I need to know in this life, that would make me grow up, wise and mature as person. To know only the things that could make me become a better version of myself.
Why should I know about Paris Hilton or Mary J Blidge won Billboard music awards? BUT instead, I really want to know of why there is so much war in this planet. Why G.W Bush behaves in that ways until the whole world hates him except his loyal admirers. Why there is so much pain and sadness in this life? Why after happiness comes, sadness is waiting? Why humans are imperfect? Why life is unfair? Why life is so full of chaos and calamity?
You see what I'm saying here?

to know everything would be a great adventure knowledge is power and we are talking all powerful here sorry my inner villain slipped the question you pose is a simple one to know everything would not ruin life for you but enhance it for us all no one should ever fear knowledge it is a great an mighty thing would you be better off not knowing what you know now is the simpleton more blissful than the scholar in some respects yes but in the whole we are thinking beings and to know everything would do nothing more than expand our consciousness to a new plateau and what could ever be wrong with an abyssal horizon

You're absolutely right. Life is about learning. And if you already know everything, the only thing you'll be good for is to answer everybody else's questions. That could make life somewhat interesting in itself, but you wouldn't get any self-fulfillment. You would probably go mad.

GREAT QUESTION!! I would not want that knowledge, I think we don't have that potential because we are not prepared for it.
Just think, now we don't have the knowledge to now things and look what the World has become, imagine if we did know everything- I think the World would have exploded.

YES!
Imagine the good you could do.
1) You would know how to get to other planets the fastest way, which planets are hospitable in case we need a new place to live
2) Know if a commit or asteroid was going to destroy Earth and know how to stop it.
3) You would know whether or not we should develop a cure for Cancer or Aids or would population grow out of control.
4) Know when a bad country would launch nuclear weapons and know exactly who to talk to in the right countries to get them to stop that country.
5) Know if something will happen bad to your children. So, you can stop it.
So, many good things you can do, if you can forget about yourself. :)

No, I wouldn't want to know everything, I just want to know what I want to know, and that would be perfect.
I like adventures and mystery, so if I knew everything, then there would be no more adventure or mystery.
Also, knowing everything is likely to give me a big ego, which I don't want. And knowing things like what bad stuff people think about you, isn't so nice either.

I'm not sure if it would leave no wonder or not.
I think if you knew everything it might be possible to filter out what you werent interested in and then see what you could do with the bits that interested you.

it is my quest. i have almost acheived it, but then once i had acheived it i would require the knowledge that i knew everything. anyway, knowing facts is all good: soon i shall know all facts, however knowledge of the meaning of life would be more a matter of PERCEIVING than KNOWING, because knowledge doesn't have anything to do with meaning. and you can take it from me: i know

No need to know everything... just enough to acquire the capability to know anything desired at any time... this capability is commonly understood as enlightenment !
