Mine just went to school (walked) wearing a hooded sweater, sneakers and little gloves....she absolutely refused to put a coat on. Do most teenagers do this?

IT WASNT COLD!!!
When it gets cold out I will wear my winter jacket.
I went an entire winter without it and I wont do that again!
I did not "refuse" the jacket by the way.
Just not cold enough to wear it.

you do not get the flu from sitting out contained in the chilly. that is a fable. the reason human beings get ill mostly contained in the iciness is because human beings stay interior extra in many situations because of the elements and they quite "seize" the viruses and micro organism that are already modern-day of their homes or the different indoor ecosystem. even if pneumonia and hypothermia alongside with frostbite might want to be ability complications. So i'd say in case you want it outdoors, be outdoors. purely make effective you positioned on warmth clothing, keep you palms and ft quite warmth, and make effective the elements isn't affecting your respiration. transferring can keep you warmth too because the friction style your muscle communities increasing and contracting creates warm temperature so why no longer bypass for a great scenic walk; no longer something too strenuous. yet in case you opt for to play contained in the snow danger is you receives moist so reduce your self 30-40 5 minutes at a time at the same time as taking section in contained in the snow so that you'll bypass interior and warmth up and get dry. have relaxing :D

If they do not have to go for long periods of time in the cold, they prefer to wear light jackets. If they ever get caught outside for a long period of time (real fire drill), they may think twice next time. The school lockers are very small and the have to pack a large coat in it. Buy a lite high quality coat that will handle cold temperatures in your climate.

I'm actually just out of my teens, but my friend always used to do that. It would actually drive me crazy. She has a lot of health problems as is, and she would be walking around outside, in the middle of January in a little hoodie, jeans and a pair of sneakers. She'd be standing there shivering, but insisting that she wasn't cold. It drove me nuts! And then she always complained that she got sick. Oy. She doesn't do it anymore though. I think having to trek all over campus in the middle of winter smartened her up.

Hoodie and sneakers. Little gloves. Sometimes a scarf, but that's just decoration. When she's about 18, I expect her brain to turn back on.

I live in Michigan and I saw that same scenario yesterday with this girl walking to school with NO coat on no hat no gloves-goth looking girl. She is nuts! I would like to see her today-it is 18* out right now.

My daughter once went to school during the winter, with snow on the ground in sandals and a skirt. Yes, I am her mother and yes I totally freaked out, but she left the house for school before I saw her and only saw her when I went to pick her up. She was 15. Teenage girls have "standards" they create in their own minds they have to live up to no matter how much they suffer for it. So yes, teenagers do this. :)

Look at the bright side -- at least she put on gloves. My son will go out with the hoodie, sneakers and a baseball hat. No gloves...no warm hat, no scarf.... I see him shivering at the bus stop, but he tells me that he's fine. It drives me crazy!!

Yes it is the trend in all of us. lets just say that there is a secret to us that we dont like to show that we are cold but then say we forgot our coat to get that one cute guys letterman jacket in school. So most teen girls leave coats home and only wear hoodies just so we can flirt with that cute guy and score by getting his coat.

Remember, we were never young & don't know anything!
