Tech guys: got a 654hz clock; 320mb ram; XP! Need speed-up tip(s) on limited budget. 'maint' done daily! HELP

Got a PC w/30gb drv. ran well until i link'd with 'at&t yahoo. anti-virus, spyware work well. 'on' & 'off' are getting slower by the week. have chck'd temp files, cookies, defrag. not sure if 'msconfig' can help. Any body there with answers? on a limited budget..........THANKS!
