Whats wrong with you? Do you think that every body have that chance. 99% of the wealth in the world is owned by 1% of the population. Do you think that's fair? Why should some one be allowed to by a pair of 1000 dollar shoes that serve the same purpose of a 100 or even 30 dollar shoes, when there are people starving in the other side of the world.

Democracy is nothing more than a beautiful concept that everyone in the world should be entitled to. However, it has one major flaw: It is the only door to capitalism.

Capitalism, and the human greed it fosters, is the terminal cancer that eventually consumes and destroys true democracy. People eventually become enraged at being raped by the rich and privileged, and rise up and revolt, and dictatorial government is the result.

The prime example of this simple fact is the wanton destruction of personal freedoms; the rape, murder, pillaging and occupation of other nations for their natural resources. .

The real tragedy of all this is that despots like George W. Bush claim they are doing this to preserve democracy in the U.S. The fact is Americans lost their democracy the day he became president. There is a way to preserve personal freedoms and
democracy; it is called social democracy. Social democracy allows everyone to benefit, not just the wealthy. Social democracy is not communism.

No - the problem with the idea of "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need" is that while it's a lovely concept put humans into it with our greed, jealousy, etc and it turns to crap. If we're more able to generate wealth (like those who are already wealthy) then we want to keep it for ourselves (even if it exceeds our needs) and don't want to help out those less fortunate than us who are unable to fulfill their needs.

The poor are blamed for being poor but they probably work harder than anyone else for less reward. For example, i've no doubt celebrities who get 10million per film (say 6 months work) work long hours (12,18 hr days) but their reward is astronomically higher than a construction worker who works the same hours in the same country.

So, no socialists are not lazy and they don't want something for nothing. Rather, the wealthy want to protect their money so that they can pass it on to their trust fund babies. To justify this attitude it becomes ingrained in people (media, etc) that if you work hard you too can make it - this is true to an extent but for some ppl no matter how hard they work they can't get ahead of the game (e.g. look at the different levels of education based on ppl receive based on their daddy's bank balance)

Socialism isnt about encouraging lazy people but getting them on their feet.

Commumism isnt so much a form of government as a call for people to organise.

Democracy is about getting what most people are told they want.

Economic equality? If people were equally happy then the question wouldnt be asked.

My interpretation of a socialist is not wanting everybody be be economically equal.....it's not having such a huge gulf between the haves and the have-nots.

Donald Trump and the people dying of starvation in the Allegheny Mountains.

To me that's immoral and very wrong.

No, I do not believe that everyone should be economically equal. Those who achieve will reap the rewards. Much like those who study will get good grades.

No, we have very high moral and ethical standards and expect to be appreciated for our hard work. Unfortunately for us, we live in a world of lazy, greedy bigots.
Money is not the measure of personal worth, especially when that money is made by exploiting and robbing others.
