Just be yourself. If other people cannot be acceptive of that and accept you just as you are, that's their problem not yours.

First of all , you have to select or find a person you like , find ways to interact with him , depend upon your choice of the person concern . Now read and memories some jokes , always handy to start a talk in a group . Get his attention , now take your days to just get his attention . Maintain your ever green smile . You NEED to fall in love? Too much pressure on yourself there.
Well, you need to be sociable to start with. Be amiable. Then just be who you really are. You wouldn't want to always put on a "facade" when you eventually find someone interesting who's interested in you, too.
I believe that men prefer to do the chasing. You can just probably open the door for them, and let them do the rest.

You have to be willing to get out there and be able to handle rejection. If you are not able to handle rejection, you will run back home and stay for months being as you are "lonely."
You should be able to make friends at church, work, or school, or through family, even family members such as cousins work just as well. Be willing to be the first to say hello with a smile !
