Listen, bone-head-detective!!!
If they are people, they are human.....
((sorry...I must be in an alternate universe... that was over the top and I apologise... Just had to get it outta me))......
problem is, we don't know what's inside of them... their hearts..... only God knows what is hidden in men.....
Your sister,
Ginger

we don't know, first we'd have to define Human I'll define it as a person both conscious of themself, and desiring to improve themself.
Only those with other thoughts than self interest, only those who are... enlightened... (wish I had a better word) because it is one thing to be aware of the human condition, and quite another thing to actually live it, and so far as we don't know the whole extent of it, how can anyone be wholly human?
So being human is total acceptance of the human condition. And the more intelligent, the more introspective a person is, the more human they can become.
I someone who is aware of their actions, and the consequences, and accepts them, who understands all aspects of a situation, and the action to take, not based on rigid moral guidlines, but on the original intentions of these guidlines which is to promote the greater good of humanity.
But I'm deifying humans aren't I? they don't all posses that kind of will or convictions, or loyalty, mabe the basis of our humanity is individual, and based on a love of something. which is in turn based on recognizion of goodness in that thing which is in turn stemming from a selfish impulse... so mabe everything "good" humans do is based on a selfish attempt to be holy, and that would make everyone equally human, even cruel sadistic people, as long as they had a selfish desire in their actions. meaning inhuman people are only people who act without knowing, and without serving an inner purpose

Body - Mind - Spirit. Each person has all three.
The figure is close to 6.5 billion.
Of course, there are spirits without bodies though. You can't count the number of them.

i think mere belonging to the homo sapien class in other words taking birth as a human being dosent counts a lot. wat counts more is tat whether we have the worth of being called as human beings. otherwise there wont be any difference between a human being and an animal of the different class. the basic idea is tat we had come in this world to make it a happier place to live and to accompany each other. but i think there is lot to come thus none of us can claim to be as human.......

I am reminded of a Greek philosopher, who was found going with a lamp in broad light. When asked for the reason, he said he is looking for a man, in the world.

All were born human, but most of them were converted into machines by the combination of desires and economics and further inhuman by the combination of abundant intelligence and meagre wisdom.

Since there are a very few handful, logically they should not remain un-noticed, but alas, it takes a human to recognise the other !
