What does it all mean in the big scheme of things---
nothing if you don't live there

Will the U.S. even care---
i hope to hell they don't even notice or they will invade Fiji looking for WMD & murder the people there too

Why would you want the US involved in what has so far been a peaceful coup? No blood spilled, current leader under house-arrest, military leader in control stating he is there only until an appointed caretaker is seated, up until an election can be held. Australia's PM has spoken publicly to say that for Australia to interfere at this point in time smacks of invasion (not in those words). I'm not even sure America is aware there has been a coup in Fiji
What do you reckon??

Fiji is too small a State. There is nothing of any commercial value except some sugar cane fields in Fiji. I don't think US will care about these Islands.

not a whole lot i suspect, though there a lot of Fijians in Hawaii and the on the west coast. May get antsy if they start getting creative with the financing.
