C'mon. be honest in your answer. in the west we have dating and finding our mate and in an arranged marriage the parents find or the bride or groom for their kids (like in the old testament days ? ). there are advantages and disadvantages. is the breaking up part due to freedom of choice?

Because women have jobs and money and get a big head and feel they can take the kids and raise them on her own. Because men are being neglected at home and find entertainment outside the house.
Time to get off the material band wagon folks and learn what is really important in life.

The only difference is the stigma that divorce gives a woman in the east. In the west women don't have to stay in a loveless or abusive marriage for the sake of society. Arranged marriages are no better or worse than other marriages.

It is a fact that here in America the divorce rate is high, But in our country we are allowed to choose for ourselves if we want to stay in a marriage that is not a healthy and happy one or in our best interest.

Your observation is incorrect. There are as many breakups in arranged marriages too.

Because we don't get stoned to death for divorce and don't have to wait until our partner carks it to divorce....we live in a free country
