How about the great names people choose for themselves online, and how they chose them? LeafPaw is a great name, you know : )

Hi LeafPaw,

Here's an idea, start with a simple statement, kind of like,..

Confused, constrained, I need to break out, for my life at this moment scares me

From where? I'm not sure, but I'm looking to find a place in my heart the allows me the comforts of home

It's strange really 'cause I have friends on the phone, on the Net and,.. overseas

Maybe it's not me, maybe it's just life, maybe I just need to be stronger.

Still, it's strange when I think back on the happy times of my younger years

Seems I'm a-feared of a simple shout, a snide look

These are the things that bring tears

Well grab an idea, then do a spider chart of all the things that remind you of that item. She if you can make it ryhme, it is easier. Have an idea of how many paragraphs then just write.

Alternatively, think of a word. Write it down the side of the page and then write your poem like that

Good luck

get an abstract word, such as love, peace, hatred , happy, confusion whatever. then try to do a 5 sense thing: write down a list of concrete words that you associate with the abstract idea. these words should appeal to one of the five senses (at least)

for example, for happy, you could take
chocolate, jazz, pillows..

or for confusion
the roaring of building machines, rough texture of sandpaper

OK my examples are pretty bad, but i guess you get the idea. then once you've done the listing, try to bring those words together in a way that will make the reader sense the abstract idea. good luck!

Well, given the time of year, why not write about War at Christmas and how it may affect the little kiddies caught in the middle.

Life probably provides the best inspirations. Here are some two-cent worth ideas of mine.

- Why do we get angry with our family more easily than with our friends?
- Secrets and the people who keep them.

Write about our lives..we are as flowers...we grow up and we bloom joyfully, and then a day we'll whiter...but we always need somebody that take care of ourselves, the sun warm us, and the rain quench ours thirst and the ground feed us... ;0)
