If you made a point of stipulating a bath tub rather than a shower at the time of booking and can show this, then the company is likely to give you a small amount of compensation to go away. However, it might be hard to establish misrepresentation in this instance, as "bath" in English can mean various things in other languages and possibly the tour company were merely translating what they were told by the hotel. Most people would find a shower a more than acceptable alternative to a bath tub.

If you had been promised a jacuzzi, this would be a very different matter. However, there is an argument for saying that you were given what you contracted for, namely private bathing facilities. It would also be very difficult for you to establish that the lack of a bath tub ruined your holiday expectations.

All in all, it is probably worth while to complain to the tour company in the hope of being given an ex gratia payment. If you are firm and vociferous enough, this is the usual outcome.

If its in writing that there should have been a bath and you didnt get one, then you should be eligable for sme sort of compensation. Especially if you didnt get an alternative.
Unfortunatley holiday companies are notorious for finding ways to get round this so check the small print of everything you signed in case you waivered your rights to claim for small inconveiniances. Its always worth a try as you dont have anything to lose.

I should imagine the small print states that on occasion it will be necessary to modify the facilities but that you will be given a suitable and appropriate replacement ie a shower instead of bath.

Take the brochure with you and point it out to them at the hotel...pretend you have a phobia of showers if you have to but make sure you cause a stink....actually that might be the just answer

If you have sufficient legal papers stating you are guaranteed for a bath tub not or with a shower than you have a case against them.
