A friend of mine just needed a note from her Doctor saying she could drive , that's the state of Florida as long as A doctor says she can see fine she can receive her license .

How severely does the nystagmus affect your vision?
If it impairs your vision to the point that you cannot see clearly to drive, then I am not sure that you could get a driver's license.

In this state if they can pass the visual test given by the Department of Motor Vehicles they can drive.
