With their crazy humour about Canadian Politics, they are very funny sometimes..yet I cant help but wonder how many places in the world would just shoot you for that!

How unique is this Canadian perspective of intermixing humour and politics? It seems we take it much father than most countries would...or what do you think?

I don't agree with that as a blanket statement. Look at the Daily Show alone. I watch all of those shows and like them (I'm from Pictou, Nova Scotia the capital of Pictou County, Nova Scotia (-: ) and I find that the main difference between the shows that you've mentioned and the Daily Show is that John Stewart and his crew are snappier and edgier in their take especially due to the fact that they'll sometimes just play clips of actually press conferences, take quotes and keep them in context and let the humour come out of the fact that politicians will say stupid things on their own.

There used to be a British show called something like "splitting Image" or something that I watched a few times. It was pretty good in the same way as Air Farce and 22 Minutes and the old CodCo.
Rick Mercer is pretty tame and not very effective since he left 22 Minutes - he seems to indulge in boosterism of the "People" factor more than in true satire. He was much better as part of a group - but aren't we all.
There also used to be Double Exposure on CBC Radio, also.
Yes, we are lucky to have these programmes. While I'm sure that this type of humour would be difficult in some countries, I don't think it's entirely unique to Canada.
