would you realize that? I mean most of the geniuses in history of science or art were considered freaks or weirdos by their contemporaries...

That is so true, I don't think I would.... And it's so sad that most of these people would never know what huge part they played in history seeing as how society has the tendency to honor people after they died... Vincent van Gogh sold one painting in his entire life and now he's one of the most sought after artists that ever lived

Unfortunately, genius is a relative term. I.Q. tests are based on knowledge rather than wisdom. I've spoken to many people with an I.Q. that was considered to be at the genius level. Many were smart, but lacked common sense. Many of the people that are considered geniuses by others are typically the ones that were willing to conform to societies standards and definitions of genius. Some of the most intelligent people I've met were also considered the most dangerous because their opinions didn't conform to what society considers acceptable. I guess the answer to your question would be no, since the true geniuses seem to be the ones that are so smart they’re considered a threat, but they’re smart enough to hide it.

you can be a genius in so many areas. some who is a musical genius might be crappy at the sciences. or a mathematical genius could have trouble with sociology. the true concept of a genius is jst someone who is good at recognizing patterns and solving problems from those patterns. and i don't thik most geniuses were freaks and wierdos in their personalities, just maybe some of their theories.

i have met a reliable length of the Pirates of the Caribbean forged after I labored a press junket for "lifeless guy's Chest" in 2006, on the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills. I met Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp (very quickly), Tom Hollander, and director Gore Verbinski. I also met a guy named Mike Singer, who change into the Unit Publicist for all 3 video clips.

Genius is a relative term. Im sure if you were to meet somebody who has accomplished something extraordinary or invented something along the same lines we would be able to recognise the genius in that, how much of a genius he is relative to others would be the question.

I have never met a genius, so I don't know the answer to your question.

However, I THINK I would only realise a person was a genius, after other geniusses had recognised it, and made it public.

that is why we learn from history...
learn not to be as skeptical as those in the past... thus, people in this era are smart enough to see geniuses but stubborn and egotistic to accept that theyre IQ has been over shadowed... lol
