yes ,but both can give u skin cancer but of corse if u dont want to tan and u go out side with sun block or what ever on before u go out side in the suns heat then u have some proction agasnt the sun but i dont know about tanning loaction ,if it could protect u some or not in tanning bed and from the sun. any way I aswerd ur question and talked about something u didnt even asked about .

tanning is a gradual process in the sun where by one is forced to use sunscreen where as booth is fake when one id dark he can turn orange but when one is pale she can become beautiful

Faster- but oh so dangerous.

Yes, tanning is gradual process in the sun and you will burn unless you apply high factor suncream.
Booth is fake...be warned...can go orange! it will be very embarrassing and obvoius.
If you have pale skin just love it....its be-a-u-tiful!
