From Bohr's planetary model, which should be what you will be learning, tells us that electrons orbit around the nucleus of an atom at high speeds, and are negatively charged. They have a really small mass as compared to neutrons and protons. Protons and neutrons on the other hand, are clustered together becoming what we call the nucleus. Protons are positively charged while neutrons are neutral. As such, an atom is electrically neutral, as the number of protons is the same as the number of electrons present, and that most of the mass of the atom is concentrated at its nucleus.
*Note: This model/explanation can only explain the occurences in a hydrogen atom. Not others. From a more widely accepted explanation is that electrons do not orbit, but they still do move at high speeds in energy bands, which represents different electron shells. i.e. electrons that have less energy are found in the lower energy bands. To find out more, read up on quantum mechanics.

Hope this helps=)

it is the smallest component of an element with same chemical properties, concist of proton, neutron and electron,(proton is fairly heavy particle and resides in the dense nucleus of an atom)(neutron is a heavy particle with a mass about equal to a proton and resides in the nucleus) (electron is a light particle and resides in a cloud around the nucleus)

the climate are prepared into communities alongside the periodic table, their additionally ordered via molecular mass. this provides to the electron configuration of an atom, because of the fact the electrons are the place the chemistry of the atom happens... So electron shells with one million electron on its outer shell is on the left area and with an entire shell on the suitable fringe of the periodic table.
