When actresses and actors on The Bill and other police shows are dressed up as inforcers of the law, why aren't they done for impersonating a police officer? Just one of my random thoughts xD

They would be if they actually did but the other actors are in on it (plus everyone else on set) so they are not doing it to the public at large (everyone they come into contact with knows they are NOT really the police) so no impersonation really occurs

Actually, there are always flaws in uniforms and emblems that allow for use. Often on imdb, people post they caught a continuity flaw, but it's really a theatrical badge or uniform. Like using a sunflower rather than a palm tree on an LAPD emblem. Similar shape, but not the real McCoy.

The Bill's filmed on a studio lot i.e. not out in public. It'sonly if you're out in public dressed like a cop that it's illegal.Private property they can dress as they wish.

I dont think they actually go out and about in their uniforms, when we see them on T.V we don't see the crew filming them but they are there, also they do not wear proper badges or numbers on their uniform.
