I realize that the mood can kinda' come and go. And it seems that the longer you are married the more it "goes". But, I have a debate with someone about what a reasonable expectation is for the number of times a married couple should expect to make love in a month. I'm curious if guys' expectations are different than girls'.

Your question presented the problem itself...EXPECTATIONS. To expect something that needs to happen out of mutual desire, respect, and love for one another is the perfect setup for a divorce. With whatever conditions may exist in your day to day life together you can't expect anything to happen consistently day to day to day, especially that.
As far as what is reasonable, that depends on the individuals, from personal experience 8 times a day over a long weekend was just as reasonable as 2 to 3 times a week.

If a couple has been married for 10 years and more then once a week (usually weekends) is the rythme so 4 times a month

An old guy that I always thought was pretty sharp .Told me once when you get married if you put a penny in a jar every time you have sex for the first 2 years .Then after 2 years take a penny out of the jar every time you have sex . You will live the rest of your life and never get the jar empty .I never tried it but ----- food for thought

at the first it was daily then after a year its 1-2 a week then before divorce it was once every 1-3 months.
But a friend of mine married for 25 years do it daily till now .
So find your answer as you want.

as much and as often as you want ,twice a day ,or at least once a day and twice on sundays, if you think it gets dull after a while then you two need to seek out some fantasies together and spice things up, it never gets dull for me, sex is great !! all the time!!

I am female and could go with 8 times a month max. I do more only to keep my hubby happy but I would prefer no more than twice a week.
