I've just gone through with this "Limited or No Connectivity" issue minutes ago and I have an excess of happiness to share (: Try this:

Go to your router's configuration page and change the WEP key with a hexadecimal one (only use characters A-F or 1-9 or a-f, i.e. DEADBABE33). If you don't want to do that, you can always convert the original WEP key into hexadecimal format and enter that key in your "problem computer" (see asciitable dot com); this way, you don't have to change the key in the other computers.

I've done resetting Winsock with the netsh command, updating wireless device drivers, a full recovery of Windows XP SP2, and controlling myself not to teach my uncle's new laptop how to swim. With the exception of the latter, none of the above common solutions helped in any way.

Linksys routers are stable, besides the fact that, they do have a fault in that they use a default placing for the IP on lots of the fashions that's the comparable by way of fact the default IP utilized by employing many DSL modem. This motives a conflict between the two instruments, as they're the two reporting the comparable IP to the OS. I switched to a D-link router from a Linksys hence, and function had no difficulty in view that.

please double check the key. ignore any spaces that the d-link inserts in the key.. it may put in the spaces to only make it easier to read.
