I will try not to be too drawn out....
1 - I would abolish the House of Lords.
2 - I would give polotitians and myself a serious pay cut, perhaps only just above the min. wage, like everybody else.
3 - polotitians would have to turn up to work everyday like everyone else.
4 - There would be more polotitians, one for each town.
5 - Everything that was subject to change/laws would be voted by the people, hence the need for a polotitian in each town.
6 - Everyone would recieve an explanation of where their money was going, what it was spent on.
7 - there would be no district councilors, (cost cutting)one polititan will suffice to represent the area.
8 - The tax system would be completely overhauled, that includes taxes on purchases and so on.
9 - I would expect the people to pay for their standard of living. If they want better hospitals and schools they have to understand that it costs.

10 - The min wage would be raised.
11 - The environment is a huge issue, I would start with grounding the planes, sorting out the public transport so that cars could be taken off the road etc. etc.
I could go on and on.....
If you want me you will have to help to finance me. I cannot lead a revolution, I have to be voted in....How about it?

I appologise for my spelling....
For assaye10, you cannot have everyone turning up at parliament, so people need to be appointed as a voice for the people, to bring their vote to parliament. polititians would be for that purpose, there would be no need for discussion, only counting votes.

Last bit to add...I should have made it clearer, sorry.
For those who have asked questions, post them on here, when the result of the vote comes through, you will have the answer. It is not for me or anyone else to solely decide, I would have a right to vote like everyone, a leader and polititions should only act on the democratic wishes of the people. The ideas I put forward are ideas and would need a vote...

No, sorry. Some of your policies are good but how would you achieve them all? And do you really plan to drive us back to the stone age? Grounding planes? removing cars? This is the 21st century, people need to get around. And as for the environment, why target the people, such a small cause of the issue if it is an issue and not a stunt to keep the lowly public from studying the real issues. Industry creates 90% of pollution, not the people, so I'd suggest tackling congestion by getting goods trucks off the roads and onto trains, more Nuclear power stations placed in locations safely away from cities but within reach of the workers, and a real investment into the Sciences in our education system. We spend all our time trying to simply earn money and invest in business. Science can answer a much larger portion of our questions than money. Britain has been behind with the Sciences for 600 years now, isn't it time we caught up?

I'm afraid this is all rather dreamy. You are trying to please all of the people, all of the time. Which is impossible. Politics is very complicated because it's about running a country, not an ice-cream shop.
Plus, where is the detail? Exactly how do you plan to overhaul taxes?
Finally - MPs getting a mininum wage? I'm not an MP but I know that their job is a very demanding one. The reason they don't show up in the House of Commons every day is because they have to prioritise. If an MP from Newcastle has to go to London EVERYDAY, when would he have time for his constituents? Or his life? For £5.50 an hour I don't think they'd bother.

I am not to sure about 1 Politician for every town .though... Where would they all meet .. there would be loads of them.. Councillors - now you are talking - there is too many of those leaches.. I also agree with you ..that new laws should need to have public support - eg: Asylum..Wars etc..
Yes Politicians should be made to turn up for work and not go Galavanting to this Charity Lunch or that TV chat show...or Book signing.. The house of Lords has to Go...it is a down right waste of Tax Payers money.. best example of the moment is
Lord " Firestarter " Watson ... ex- MSP - who has just done a prison term for trying to set fire to a Hotel.. He is now sitting in the House of Lords getting paid Thousands for - just sitting there... ! Yes I would vote for you.

its all very nice things to say, unfortunatly these things have to put into practice. How are you gonna raise min wage taxes etc without generating revenue. If you cut down mp wages they are more suseptible to bribes etc. You cannot have a referendum on everything cos you cant expect the majority of british people to be completely responsible for running the country. Thats what we have a primeminister for. I wouldn't like to be personally responsible for any decisions like that cos I don't know 110% about the subjects, nor do most other people.
It sounds good on paper unfortunatly the real world isn't that simple.
(Oh, and if your looking to be a "polotitian" you might wanna learn to spell it)

i agree with alot of what you said but some of it is impracticle, the one about voting on laws if you look into it blair and his lucifarian worshipping inner circle have put a bill forward that would give them the right to change any law any way they please .heres the link http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,1072-2049791,00.html to the times tells you all about it and scarily for me anyway this broke in february.
but the main thing for me would be wether you or your husband were members of the bilderberg group ,trilateral commision and any one of the illuminatis lucifarian worshipping secret societys .if you were free of all that i would vote for you .sadly that is what you have to look for now.
hears a link http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=786048453686176230&q=terrorstorm its a docu film ,its in the top 100 in amazons chart in the states yet is free to watch on google video as the point is getting the info to the general public.all i can say is the info has been put in front of you . if you want to or are in the position to get into politics you need to know this info as here is what you would be fighting against but in general everyone needs to see this .

Leaders are not made by its proposals, but due their habilities to follow Machiavel's rules, Charism and well born position.
But due your proposals, you are such great person and politicians do not tolerate that. People are not smart they use to not follow rational way.
Better and more efficient create high profit company and then have Non governmenttal organization like Oxfam or Greenpeace to bring something good to our world.

You have some very good ideas there. Bt the one thing that worries me is that finances are scarce and you have to take that into consideration before you make drastic changes. Bt if I lived there, you would get my vote.
