Yes it's true. Because of its geographical location, Singapore has a lot of thunderstorms. Lightnings are very common here and a lot of people get killed because of that.

yes, it have abt 200 days out of 365 days a year having lightling around the island, you may not seen it but it happen very offen above us more of the time over Singapore sky, on the area like at Jurong , Choa Chu kang , Changi, East Coast, it have more offen

Lightning striking you? I'm not sure there's a very high chance, but there's a lot of thunderstorms. But at least there's no temperature below freezing point. Thank you for being so close to the equator. But that makes it bad cuz it's so hot...
