I am trying to describe an "effeminate" boy who went to the theatre with two female friends, what mannerisms do you think I should include?

Thought I'd so you people what I have so far:

But not everyone who was waiting was so glum, sitting on the row in front of me was a group of teens, two blonde girls and a rather effeminate boy. He was wearing a rose colour shirt and casually humming a Madonna song while waiting for the show to start. They were sat there fairly cosily, the boy sat with his legs crossed on the chair leafing through a programme while the girls were talking about their plans for the next weekend to go and see Saturday Night Fever. From what I heard they went to a different show each weekend, last week had been that camp classic – Mamma Mia.

Actually scratch the bit about Madonna and the pink shirt, too cliché.

Try something like this:

" As he entered the theatre he gushed with excitement, whispering to his friend he commented on how dramatic the decor was - giggling with a girlish cackle as the tall, well toned & handsom male usher smiled at him"

Hope it may be of help !

How about this?

Not everyone who was waiting was so glum; sitting on the row in front of me was a group of teens, two blonde girls flanking an epicene guy. It was obvious they were good friends, and comfortable in each other’s company. They were engrossed in a conversation about plans for the following weekend when they were going to see Saturday Night Fever. They all became quite animated, squirming in their seats and heads nodding in agreement, when he said he was looking forward to seeing Travolta´s dance moves yet again. From what I heard they went to a different show each weekend, last weekend had been that camp classic – Mamma Mia

If I was reading that, I'd not expect 'camp' characteristics, rather quite a mild mannered boy, polite, the way he sits would suggest he's uncomfortable (not the typical man legs wide open 'look at my manhood' position), possible legs together and aimed to one side. He might be quite smiley and keen to be 'one of the girls' so language suggesting that could be used, yet he'd not want to appear to be unusual.
I hope that's of some kind of help - it's just how I'd think an effinate man/boy would appear.

I would try to stress that the three of them dress, acted and moved in a similar way. that way it is sutler remind the reader that 1 is a male and the other 2 female
