Oh come on Paul, you know the answer to this one.
The oil industry is not only in bed with our current government but they're going at it like teenage newlyweds. Thank God this issue is finally getting some light shone on it. We need to pressure the new Democrat congress to do something about this as well.

"We made the change to eliminate the unnecessary attention caused by the vessel's original name," said Chevron spokesman Fred Gorell.

Let me own your infrastucture hostage for a day and see how much you will allow,permit me to get away with.
If my Oil Refinery, or Pump Station just sorta stopped working, I would be in a pretty strong position to dictate terms to you.
And I want that land them indians claim is sacred, mmmkay?

They've got the same sweet deal in the Gulf of Mexico, too. The Cheney, et. al., effect.
I think the Democrats have that on their to-do list (to fix).
