When I ask a question in Y!A I always get someone that asks me for clarification which leads me to add details. But when I look the answers over a few hours later I never know who was answering for just the answer and who had the details before they answered.

I think we should mark our details with numbers and which ever was the last detail posted by them time you answer, you could denote that with the number.

All in favor say, "Aye"

My opinion is that the people who need clarification of a clear question, are not the most likely to provide useful responses in the first place. If you feel you need to add details, use your own judgment, not some unknown respondent who likely won't even check back to see if you clarified things for him anyway.

Doesn't really sound like a good solution if you ask me.

It just creates more hassle. The problem would be avoided altogether is people ask their questions in simple and clear manner with less words as possible and to the point.

Many people miss read the questions and then ask for additional info when none is needed. Chances that those people will come back to the question and re-answer it is very slim, i think.
