Taken from the words 'ka' which is a prefix that means 'altogether with' and 'puso' which means 'heart'.

It means having the same feelings as the other (or the rest), the same spirit, the same love, the same hope -- and everything else positive.

You are a Kapuso if you love God, and care for humanity and everything else.

"Kapuso" is one of the GMA Network's Foundation that helps the poor people unselfishly all over the Philippines day-in-day-out. Many people go there to voluntarily help in the distribution of goods and supplies especially in the areas devastated by typhoons and during Christmas.

kapuso, i guess, is similar to words such as ka-ibigan, ka-pamilya, ka-pitbahay, ka-eskwela. Having said that, I would say kapuso means you're all one in heart and mind.

Mabuhay mga kapuso!
