I don't know what happened, but for the past week when I have my laptop unplugged from the mains the screen is bright - then when I plug it in, the screen dims!! The reverse should happen!!

Is this a fault or is there a setting I can play with? Anyone know?

Thanks!

Trouble with laptops is over use will kill the LCD Unit... can be replaced (at cost). If you have also recently installed new software (just prior to the problem) it may have altered your settings. If you can think of recently software make a backup (if needed) then uninstall it.

my perfect wager is that your pc (like maximum) got here with a preset to dim the show each and each and every time that is unplugged from the ability source. i experience there's a defective connection between the charger and the computer (the port the position it plugs in). So, if it doesnt acquire outdoors modern, this is going to dim the show or maybe as it does acquire it, it lighting fixtures decrease back up back. this will also clarify why the computer takes longer and longer to fee. of route the perfect difficulty must be that its only a foul charger and also you wouldnt ought to attend till the guaranty producer ships it decrease back. So, bypass to the save or call the producer. you should nonetheless have a guaranty in case to procure one.
