I can't think of one word that describes all three answers, but how about the answers being used within the 9 letter word.
The word could be rosemarys.
Teachers hate (smears) on your papers
Cows like (moss) not sure if that is true or not?
Monkeys want to eat ( yams).
If anyone ever figures this one out I sure want to know the answer!
