First, get a supository, Or they have this stuff,(ask the pharmacist) in a bottle,it's kind of like a soda, really nasty, but it will really clean you out GOOD! Drink the whole bottle. Now to keep from ever getting constipated again, drink a heaping teaspoon of psylisiam husk,(sounds like sillyum, cos it's spelled wrong),drink this with 2 glasses of water every morning. Yeah, it sounds hard to drink 2 glasses of water, but if you've been as constipated as I have, you'd be glad to. Bottoms UP!!!.;Arum

Well... constipation is very frustrating. I think the best way to cure it is to eat oranges, kiwis and fruits and vegetables that are high in fibre. Try and stop eating or eat less chocolate, cookies, fries, burgers and unhealthy food. If it doesn't work, go see a doctor, preferably a chinese doctor, eventhough the medicine might taste unpleasant, but it really helps. The herbs are natural and there are hardly any side-effects.

Take lots of fibre and drink plenty of water, it should help, if your friend is having chronic constipation, then more intake of fibre may not help, it can even made it worst, consult a specialists for this case. For non-chronic case, pick up some laxative from a pharmacy specially for constipation problem.

Try to eat plenty of vegetables and fruits.Be careful though not to eat unripe fruits (such as green banana)since they will only make the trouble worse.Avoid white bread and rice, eat plenty of fiber(cereals).Try plum jam or eat plenty of ripe plums.Drink coffee, try not to wear very warm clothes.Sometimes cold helps to go to the toilet. Finally, you would have to exercise a little bit,or start walking a lot.

Prunes work pretty well. Glycerin suppositories are somewhat effective. Lots and lots of fiber.
Kashi has a couple of cereals that are very high in fiber and those really work well.
The natural ways are easier on the intestines than chemical laxitives.
