my ears closed almost immeditately less than 8 hours and thatwas after a year of having them pierced. My tongue took about 2 weeks to heal, eyebrow a couple days so I think it varies from person to person.

That all depends if they are healed up or not. In the ear lobes it should take about six weeks. Some ears take longer to heal. If you have them pierced near the top of the ear where the cartilage is thicker...it takes much longer for them to heal and they will begin to close up much sooner...within a couple of days.

Well, If you don't want the hole. Then just make sure not to put any more earrings in and eventually the hole will close back up. i would say 4-6 weeks, it should be healed over and closed.

It does vary from person to person, but 4 weeks is long enough for it to heal over.
