Is it worth it to find a cheaper flight to arrive there rather than IAH if my family lives in Richmond/Rosenberg area? (Hobby might be a farther drive to them than IAH, and they may not know where Hobby is located, exactly.) I'd like to know the mileage from IAH, and whether it is closer or farther to Richmond/Rosenberg than is IAH.

Also, does anyone know the address to the airport so I can Mapquest® it and send the info to my family there who will pick me, in case I do go that route? Thanks.

Airport code of Hobby is HOU. Just type HOU in the address spot on Mapquest and it will map it for you. This works with all airport codes in the world.

As others have said, they are not horribly far from each other, but they are on opposite ends of the city. Hobby is located South of the 610 Loop and the Downtown area, while IAH is North of 610 and Downtown. I always fly Continental and therefore into IAH. IAH is a nicer, and much newer airport. If you do have trouble in new places, crowded public places, etc, then Hobby would be better. Hobby is pretty self explanatory as to where to go. I've flown Southwest from there a couple times because it is so cheap and great for short flights.

Hobby is closer to Rosenberg.I do not know the mileage. IAH is at least an hour from Hobby. But that also depends on the time of the day. Hobby is in south H and Iah is in North H.

Go to Hobby. From Rosenberg, take 59 N to Beltway 8 E and then take Beltway 8 to Broadway. Beltway 8 is a toll road, so make sure to tell them to bring quarters!
