if you are talking about "daylight savings time",way back in the days of no electricity,and oil lamps,a mr. ben franklin thought it might be a good idea to adjust the time of day(by one hour)coinciding with the earth placement vs. the sun.what i mean is;that it gives us more "daytime" hours that are lit by the sun,thus saving on lamp oil.....true story.

I think one of the big reason's we switch to daylight savings time is that it gives us more sunlight at night instead of the morning so we can do more things outside after work instead of the morning. I live in Michigan and in the summer its light untill almost 9:30 at night . I like it.

This is called daylight savings time. It's used to make the day's light last longer. I heard once before that it is handy for farmers because they have extra time during the day to maintain their crops.

I had heard as a child growing up in Wisconsin that it was so that the farmers would have more daylight hours to farm.

The daylight saving time can lessen the consumption of the now deteriorating oil shortage. It saves energy and increase the country's income.
