You can give your baby a sipper - when your baby is ready for a sipper. And that would mostly be when your baby has learnt to sit independently (roughly anytime after 8-9 months)

It totally depends on your child. If your baby is bottle-fed, it would take a while before accepting a sipper.

However, if your baby is not bottle-fed, transition to a sipper should not be very difficult. But just remember to take it one day at a time - The first day it could be just a couple of sips - you need to be patient.

TIP: You can try giving your baby what the baby likes most. For example: if the baby likes fruit juices, try giving fruit juice in the sipper.

My daughter will be a year old on Sunday and I started her on a sipy cup at about 10 months.She will only drink formula out of her bottle,will only drink pedilite,juice or kool aid out of a sippy cup, and will only drink water or tea out of a regular cup.Yes weird I know but hey my daughter knows what she wants and when she wants it.

i started giving my daughter one when she was around 8 months.
but some people wait till around 9 or 10.

When u start giving him/her juice put it in a sippy so they can get use to it.

i took my 2 year old sons bottle away at 10 months old he never ask for it again
