Knowing his actions in the past, which include him screwing bret, I wouldnt be surprised if he did. He does not like to lose control nor his dominance. That is how he is.

I think it is Stephanie pulling ECW down the drains. She hates Paul Heyman and is responsible for his firing following the December to Dismember PPV. It's a shame, I used to love ECW and wanted to give it a chance, but the Mcmahons are intent on forcing fans to watch what they feel wrestling should be. They totally disregard the fans of other brands along with their own viewers. Unless TNA continues to gain momentum, hardcore fans will be stuck with WWE and only WWE. Any monopoly is a bad thing (check out gas prices controlled by 4 major companies). Sorry for the loose comparison. Personally, I will watch TNA, hoping the disgruntled ECW and WWE stars wind up there.

It's true Heymen created ECW but Vince bought out Heyman a few years ago. Vince still owns the ECW, so no I don't think he deliberatly sabbatoged ECW.

Of course I think Vince McMahon deliberately sabotaged ECW. I wouldn't put him past it. After all he was responsible for buying out Ted Turner for WCW and bringing down that empire.
But If you have followed things recently He reincarnated both ECW and brought back Heyman to run it.

Vince is all about making money and entertaining the fans, therefore I say he would not sabotage ECW. I think a lot of what he is trying to accomplish is that he is trying to make it less dangerous so that the wrestlers don't injure themselves seriously doing all the extreme matches all the time. I think they should make one division with an Extreme Rules champion and have one match per show dedicated to this type of match-up.

NO HE IS A TRUE BUSINESSMAN
ONE WHO WOULD NEVER SABOTAGE HIS OWN PRODUCT
ECW FAILED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THE ECW OF OLD
IT HAD NO CHARM
WE COULD NOT CONNECT WITH IT
