EVERYONE is trying to make it in the entertainment world. I want nothing more than to be a writer and I've dropped out of college TWICE to pursue it, but never really did anything about it. I just had the dream.

The odds of you making it are not in your favor, but life is all about beating the odds. No matter what, you want a degree to fall back on if the music thing doesn't work out. You don't want to end up 35, on welfare, with nothing but regrets. You can go to school part time even while pursuing a music career.

I agree education is very important- quite difficult though if you're heart is not in what you're studying.

So, why note take a course and get a degree in performing arts or the likes? Or go to a music school/college? In that way, you are learning what you love to do theoretically and at the same time you will meet people that have similar interests.

Who knows, you might meet somebody important that will help you break into the music industry through networks and contacts?

Goodluck!

It's fine that you like your music, But you need an education, something to fall back on.

I suggest sharing your music with people less fortunate; my experience with sharing music has always led me to good ends.
