What advice would you give to new grads on dealing with other coworkers, doctors and patients and what they should already know???

was a nurse for twenty years. loved it very much. it can be stressful. Here is some advice, never sell yourself short by working off the clock. Nurses are notorious for that. You can't do everything. just do the best you can. coworkers are often petty and Territorial, something about the A type personalities I guess. Don't be intimidated by doctors. you will soon know lots of things that they don't. stand firm don't let them bully you. good luck , be kind to all you meet, even if you don't feel like it sometimes...

know that you cant expect a lot of support and compassion from your conurses, were notorious for eating the young. doctors are merciless, worse than nurses. Patients expect your attention and compassion and theyre entitled to it. do the best you can, have a hard shell.
