Over the years, lots and lots of people have had ideas for perpetual motion machines. You can find multiple examples on the web.
So far, none of the ideas have been good enough to produce a machine that actually works.
That isn't likely to change any time soon.

I guess this is the same as asking about "free energy" machines. There have been some interesting books written about this subject, for example "The Scientist, The Madman, The Thief and their Lightbulb".
The trick is that with any machine, there will always be energy losses due to friction or at least air friction, so you need to "tap into" an energy source which can at least compensate for the energy losses. Of course if you can tap into such an energy source, then you will be a very wealthy person, and also the oil companys will be after you, because you will take away their profits!
I have an idea for such a machine, however I am sure I will be taking it to my grave!

it is the concept of having movement for ever with no supply of energy.
this cannot be realised since 100% efficiency devices cannot be realised and in every mechanism there are friction effects to consider. energy cannot "created" therefore....
it seems thought hat on guy did a great job to build sucah a device and come close to it as soon as possible. please chech the link.....it is impossible to make it work for ever though . if ti could then big problem on the wa we think would arise

Strap a piece of buttered toast to the back of a cat, buttered side up, and drop the cat. Since buttered toast will always land butter-side down, and a cat will always land on its feet, the cat (and toast) will simply hover above the floor, rolling over and over in mid-air.
