I have no interests in business, but it seems practical, and I don't have a lot of options.

no, you will fall asleep in class. trust me. been there, done that. if you don't fall asleep, you will most likely end up skipping class and/or getting bad grades. you need to have an interest to have motivation. otherwise you won't do well. college is so different than high school.... you don't get suspended for skipping class... and they don't call your parents!

you really have to do something you will really like. i started out as a psychology major, then went to English, then business... and finally realized i needed to major in the area i always loved: art history. if i did anything other than something i loved, i just couldn't get into it. money is great, but it isn't everything. practical doesn't mean its for you. but, only you know yourself. try taking a business class & see how you like it. you can also take some other classes in different areas and see where that takes you. there is something for everyone. you just have to see what that is. many universities offer free testing to find your areas of interest for jobs/careers. they want you to go there, so they offer the testing.

If you are like many other students who do not have any exceptional skill/talent and can't afford to go to the Ivy League schools, there are only a few very marketable degrees, IMO. They are medicine, nursing, engineering, and business degrees.

A business degree may not give you as much $ at first, but it makes you more versatile in your career. You will be able to move across industries, economies, and positions easier than having a different degree. Thus, overtime you can potentially earn more than the average income of holders of other degree.

Well if you don't have interest then you should look for a major that fits you. But business majors have demand these days and make big bucks.
