Well since I happen to be both I can only speak from experience and tell you it's all about being humble. A confident person will ask for advice and allow others to share their knowledge. You can always learn something from someone... even if its what not to do... and a conceited person thinks they don't need any advice...
So.. what do you think about what I just said... ?
;)

First off - BE YOURSELF

Don't try to be something or someone you're not - it's always the easiest way to fail. If you're asked for an opinion, always end your idea/comment/suggestion with the line "....I could be right, I could be wrong - it's just my opinion...". This lets others know that you CAN be wrong on occasion, whether you are or not. Be strong in your belief in yourself, don't appear doubtful or reluctant to speak about things - if you don't know, say so and don't beat around the bush. People will respect your honesty more than anything.

And if people don't like you for who you are, then THEY DO NOT MATTER - you have to have confidence in YOURSELF before other people will have confidence in you.

Being confident in yourself is loving yourself for who you are inside and out and Being conceited is taking it to the next step by talking about yourself and that you know you look good

i guess confidence is the capability to answer questions and talk about anything under the sun without fear of making mistakes. conceit is talking about yourself (even without anybody asking) and being sure that you are incapable of mistakes.

by being very humble with people who have humility or are "under" me and always being very tough, rude and arrogant with people who try to pull an arrogant style on me. i hate that, people who are always trying to appear better and bigger than others so i gotta show 'em they've got nothing on nobody. and the humble, well, i am very nice to them, coz i do know for a fact that whatever i have, however beautiful or rich or powerful, these things do not qualify me as being "better" than others.

self confidence for me is something like "with a no fuss attitude, anything goes and a cowboy kind of girl"
while conceitedness is about being arrogant and giving mean words to others, being bashful and self righteous
