I'm thinking about investing in an Xbox 360, mainly because I've heard so much about Xbox Live. I have a PS2 that is online, but I had to buy a network adaptor for it and network it through my pc. It was a tricky process, and even after all that many of the games suffer from lag. Is it easier to set up an Xbox 360 for online play?

The 360 is very easy to set up for online play, it's just a matter of plugging in your internet connection. Once on, you get an automatic trial of the Gold membership which means you can play online out of the box. After the trial is finished you can still download demos for free but will have to pay for the Gold membership to continue to play online. For me, the ease of online gaming on the 360 was a significant bonus.

Hey man, definately invest in a 360. I got one after Sony announced the PS3 delay til March 07 (here in the UK/Europe anyway). Its worth getting, although my Xbox isn't online. But it comes with all the right parts to get you going, you can join Xbox Live Silver for free, but for the Gold membership (where you can play other people online) there's a subscription price. But still...GOW online is meant to be mindblowing, but still amazing offline!

yes, plug and play basically, and MILES better than the PS2 online. For good online games get GOW, or COD3
