It depends on your temperament. If you are naturally compassionate and like caring for people, go with nursing. If you have a knack for imparting knowledge to others, teaching may be right for you.

Practically speaking, nurses get paid more, but you might get stuck working graveyard, while most teachers work nine months out of the year. Contrary to popular belief, teachers don't work six hours a day. You will often put in ten hours a day, and you won't get paid a cent more for it because you are on salary. At least when you work as nurse, you get paid for overtime. As a nurse, you will always have a job, because people will always be getting sick. However, the demand for teachers goes in cycles. There are times when there is a shortage, and there are times when you couldn't get a position if your life depended on it.

The bottom line is that you have to decide what is most important to you. Once you commit to a course of action and are convinced that it's the right thing to do, your determination will insure your success.

Yes, education is really not a well paid job. Also, nurses are really in demand these days and they are the first people patients meet when they first come into a hospital. They are acquiring a big status these days.
However, it all depends on your passion...if you love to teach, go for teaching

sure it has a good career but teaching profession is second to none. It is also a good profession.

But, when you do nursing, it is euqivalent to God's service.
