Do you care a lot if someone doesn't like you? A little? Or could you not possibly care less?

i dnt care if some ppl dislike me..coz i also dnt like everyone i know
besides, i always believe that we cant please everyone...
as long as im happy w/my own business & im not hurting anyone.. then im cool!

I'd love to say that I don't care at all what anyone thinks of me, but it wouldn't be true. It all depends on who the person is and if they dislike me because of who I am or because of some lie they heard about me.
There are some people out there whose opinion of me means very little. But I wouldn't want everyone thinking that I'm a horrible person because of actions that I should've kept private (like snapping at my husband in public). I guess it's about perception to me. If I'm perceived as a bad person when I'm not, and people avoid me as a result, that would probably hurt me about as much as if someone punched me because I would be tainted and there would be nothing I could do about it.
However, if someone who had hurt me in the past didn't like me, or past high school crap were to come back to haunt me, I wouldn't let that bother me simply because the person who hurt me no longer earned my respect and high school crap is stuff that happened 10 years ago and can't bother me anymore.
If family members didn't like me, that would hurt more than anything else I've ever dealt with in life. I could get over other people not liking me, but not if it were my grandmother or anyone else in my family.

Because I'm sensitive, I tend to care a lot what others think of me.
It has a lot of drawbacks, but when you're in a situation where you need to tell whether someone's going to be positive or negative to you, it kind of counts.

Too much.
I consider myself pathetic for caring so much but... i just want to fit in somewhat so that i can feel comfortable and not scrutinized.
