I think they both had their scenes. Blake was a lot funnier, but Potter was mor real.

Blake was more true to the style/character from the movie. Potter created a whole new style specific to the TV show.
I personally liked Potter better.

Definitely Potter. Henry Blake was a nice guy, but a little preoccupied with getting drunk and having sex. He had no idea of discipline, and pretty much let everyone do what they wanted. Potter had the good sense to not stifle his doctors because they weren't regular military, but he demanded (and got) respect from them. Henry Blake never did.

Sherman T. Potter
Actually the actor Harry Morgan played the character of General Steele on MASH first and the TV audience loved him and Col Potter was written for him

Potter was alot cooler, but Blake has always been my favorite. Blake I think was better at the job too.

Blake was funnier. Like most sitcoms M*A*S*H* started getting way too much into drama instead of just being a comedy. OK for them i guess, cuz even since the original movie, it was supposed to have an anti-war message.

Henry Blake, played by Mclain Stevenson was by far the best . He should have never left the show... He sank quickly into obscurity.... but as to your question.... there is no comparison

Definitely Blake. He was both funnier and more lovable.
