All of them have bias one way or another. They want to get the story out to effect as many people as they can. To do that it has to be concise and one sided (see Fox news channel for a perfect example). The hatred of people in the middle east is mostly due to the media in America and vice versa.

It is my perception that all sources have bias. And it can be blatent or subtle. What is the headline chosen for the day, the week, most times for a particular mag or paper? What is the 5:30 anchor reporting on? More to the point, what is the anchor not reporting on? Check those statistics that everyone reports. They can be biased also.
The bottom line is that one has to wade through the bias to get to the bottom line. It can be rather an art to know how to. Read all sides and question a lot if you can.

It would not be a controversy if the U. S. had fact-in-journalism rules like modern countries, which prohibits their information media from broadcasting fake or deceptive information. regrettably, the U. S. lacks this form of rules against mendacity in the information. And is the extra serious for it because of the fact that is permitting and empowering usa's ever-worsening political polarization. plenty for all that "United we stand, Divided we fall" stuff, huh?
