i think when the merger happened they pushed daniel palladino out they asked amy sherman palladino to stay and she refused w/o her husband there she said it would not be the same . good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

Daniel Palladino, a fellow Gilmore Girls writer/producer, departed the series in April after failing to reach a deal with studio Warner Bros. Television.
the deal included a rise in pay and royalties from the wb show Gilmore Girls DVD
this comes news after the wb and upn merger this past month

I wondered that myself.. I wish I knew what was up with all that.. I love that show, but now I wonder if it will be the same.
